Correct side mirror for late 63 roadster

I've come to understand that my side mirror is incorrect. I'm looking for advise as to where to buy the correct one that passes judging muster. Seems most of the usual vendors have them but how to know what aftermarket parts are most correct??

    thanks for helping the newbie

contact Joyce Borrell, the "mirror lady" - she advertises in the DRIVELINE and she should be at Old Town this week if you are in Florida

Thanks. Just to clarify. I'm talking about the entire thing not just the actual mirror. Mine does not have the Chevy bow tie and apparently it should. Anyone's guess why the original was replaced.

Joyce has complete "restored" mirror for 1963 and they are $$$. You can also buy very good reproductions through most of the vendor's - couple of points deductions on them for minor variations, but they do have the Bowtie. You can also check Driveline, Hemmings, other Vette rags for original mirrors for sale

Don, My 63 had a repro mirror on it. Deduct was one point. Bought a nice NOS one that had the correctly dated glass. Deduct was one point. When we use the term NOS that doesn't necessarilly mean the parts is dead nuts. In the old days of HMN you used to see the term NOSR. You don't see that anymore.
I actually like the repro for one reason.
The mirror head is more difficult to adjust. The NOS one on my car can very easily hit the paint as the swivel part is too loose. When you put a car cover on it doesn't take much for those mirrors to dig into the paint when you get someone careless yanking the cover off.
Meanwhile Joyce's mirrors are dead nuts.
