283 Harmonic Balancer swap

I'm going to put a NOM in my 57 until I can attain an original engine for the car. I want to keep everything looking as original as possible until then. I am going to use a 66 Chevelle 283. My question is:

Can I use a harmonic balancer from a 57 283 and install it on a 66 283?

Mike -

Yes, but don't forget the 1/8" spacer between the balancer and the timing sprocket to accommodate the thickness of the front motormount, or you'll have belt alignment issues.
