    1966 327 holley 600 won't start

Thanks before we even get started.
    My 1966 327/350 won't start.
Had a complete carb kit installed by very capable tech in 2012. Ran fine after that. Put away in Oct; ran fine. Staybl in gas etc.
Car has been idle for 4 mo./ cold here but unheated garage kept.
Car won't start: Got fire ( will try to start with vapor spray)
    Got air.
No gas, no real good smell after 3 X it should stink of gas like hell.

Any tips? Carb recent rebuild by pro tech.
    Thanks, Nick

If it was running before the timing and dwell should be okay. You need two things to run an engine gas and spark. You said it tried to start so you must have spark so I would look at the fuel. You said cold storage so maybe water in the fuel and a frozen fuel line.

Any idea of the condition of the fuel filter?

Or, is there a short section of rubber fuel line between the fuel pump and the metal fuel line on the frame that may be pinched or collapsed?

          Nick,

The needle could be stuck with the float in a upright position. If you know for sure there is no gas in the carburetor try to give the float bowl a tap with something to see if that helps but be careful not to damage the casting.

Nick, I would try some ether or some carburetor spray. just fully open the throttle and give the engine a short burst of ether. then try. If it fuel related you will know if it starts and dies.
