Do any other members own a 1980 Corvette?

I would like to hear from other members that own a 1980. I enjoy being a member but it seems that there is a lot more on the discussion board for the earlier years. You may have had already experienced the problem I have finding dated parts.Please reply!

Rodney, Do searches on E-bay, local craigs list. driveline has a area for parts wanted. I live in the Boston area and am always looking on craigs list there seems to be a lot of late 70's 80's parts there. and If you have not been to the big Carlisle, PA. Corvette event that's also a good place to start. a lot of venders, used parts, make it a long weekend. you will love it . It is tailored for corvettes only.

Thanks appreciate your response. I have checked ebay and bought bought some NOS original parts and of course some parts they claim to be NOS but there is a lot of brand new GM boxes out there with parts made from Mexico. Even on Craig's list last year there were pages of parts for sale and know there is hardly any. I will keep looking but I hope by this posting somebody out there will know somebody who has the parts I need. Communication can go along way. I am happy that members are replying. Thanks again.

Suggest that you may also want to consider joining a local Corvette Car Club - good way to get out of the house and mingle with people who have the same interests. Good luck.

Back issues of "Corvette Restorer" are a great technical resource. An available DVD compilation includes articles specific to your 1980 (1980-1982 compilation). The Tech Board does have a lot of discussion about earlier years, but just post your questions - a lot of knowledge is available. BTW I own a 1980 - in process of restoration.
