so I think i'm pretty close to have my car judged. I have the books and have gone through them but I have three issues, how important is the original paperwork I have the owners manual (pink card is missing and plastic bag also) but no dealer info other than the paid search(dealer info) which I have? how much of a deduction for stuff like that? I don't have the original wheels( someone before me added knock offs long ago) so I know I will get deduction for that( I do have correct tires and stems caps) and no spare/tire& wheel so deduct for that too. where on the point scale would that leave me if everything else is correct? thank you, adam

Re: 63 swc judging questions
Adam. Please download and print the 63 judging sheets from this website. You pretty much understand that you will get a full deduct on the wheels as well as the spare. The points are on the sheets you will download. If you can find a plastic bag, even a good repop use it. Dealer info is not judged. Some judges may and some maynot deduct for the pink card. Flip a coin.
Will you car be in Florida next week?

Re: 63 swc judging questions
If the item is missing you get a complete deduct if you purchase a reproduction part you will get a minor deduct. You could purchase a set of 15x6" rims and original wheel covers and replace the knock off wheels. It is very difficult for the judges to determine if the rims are original or not when mounted with wheel covers. The spare on the other hand they can and will inspect. If you have a correct reproduction tire and the rim is wrong you will get a deduct but not a total deduct. As Harry mentioned above get the judging manual and go through it. There are probably many parts on the car that are not original and the manual will help you judge the car yourself.- Top

Re: 63 swc judging questions
I am not sure if all the score sheets yet reflect this change of policy, but Roy about a year ago in his Judging Chairman's column in The Restorer stated that PoP are no longer to be judged. His short hand reason was to reduce the need for fakes. I am not sure exactly how this new policy is being interpreted on the field.Terry- Top

Re: 63 swc judging questions
It's late for me and mind is blown. My 63 has all the glove box stuff. All original. Go to the AIms and see a list of what was included for the glove box.
What's PoP. Ohhh. The warranty book??? Hit a few more buttons on the key board for dummies like me please.- Top
