This might not help but for my '67 L-79, I bought the rebuild kit from LICS. It includes everything you need, even the special tool. Easy to do and it's never leaked. PT

Did your kit come with the cast impeller shown in the picture? Just wondering, I suspect my rebuilt original that I picked up at Carlisle a while back may have a worn cast or stamped steel impeller, not the cast one as shown. Thanks!!

I had used a Zip's kit a few years ago,still on 327" car with no issues.......Pretty easy if you have a small press......P..

According to one NCRS member that builds a lot of water pumps and lives in OK., the only kit to use must have a shaft that has been forged and not cast! Forged only!!!!!

One other thing to do before you take the old one apart is measure the distance of the flange to block, that's if your belts look good.
I found the measurements off on the instruction sheet.
