    73/74 tim&jg

Can someone tell me when the current (2nd?) edition of the 73/74 TIM&JG was initially released? And does anyone know when the next edition might be planned for release?

    Thanks,

    Gary

current is 2nd edition, issued Winter 1999 with a short addendum issued Spring 2000. I do not know status of new edition.

      Gary,

Best information on the next revision would come from the National Team Leader Dave Brigham. See https://www.ncrs.org/contact.php

        Don,

        Wow. Since 2000. That's a long time.

It would be great if a new survey could be done. I have found several items that seem unique to '73's (as I'm sure there are many unique to '74's) that could use more clarification. Like the radiator support, or perhaps the A/C condensor inlet tube. I could go on. People new to these cars look for a part (like radiator support) from one of the big parts houses and spend their money on a part that might be functional, but wrong in appearance. The repro people don't even know what a '73 radiator support looks like!

I was going to pick up another copy yesterday at the NCRS booth at Kissimmee, but read the cover with the above information and decided to put it back once I saw the 2000 date. It had a few extra yellow pages but nothing that affects me. About time to freshen it up.

                Steve,

I suspect the possibility of a revision of the 73/74 TIM&JG is at least partly dependent on the lobbying by 73/74 owners of the team leader and the national judging chair. The squeaky wheel.

I'd definitely like to see an updated version of the 73/74 TIM & JG. I always review the Judging results from the various meets and wonder why there are never any 73's and '74's being judged (maybe one every now and then)? Sure hope their absence from the judging field doesn't have any bearing on the length of time before the 3rd Edition might make its way to the publisher?

On mention of "yellow pages", I see only the Spring of 2000 addendum on yellow paper. Were there others?

Not that I have in the latest one here.

FYI, we are deep into redoing the 73-74 JG.
