1970 Wiper Arm Assembly

To start with, I had a fully functioning 1970 wiper system. The passenger side wiper arm was incorrect so I decided to replace it. I bought a "correct" wiper arm set from Wilcox Corvette. With the passenger side wiper arm assembly out, the wiper arm is keyed and aligns/sits over top of the drive arm bracket. The new "correct" arm is also keyed the same way. If you try to install the "correct" arm, the squirter tube will interfere/hit the drive arm bracket. The AIM shows an offset drive arm bracket relative to the wiper arm.

Is the AIM drawing accurate or generic?

Is the "correct" Wilcox arm actually correct?

What do I have, what is correct, what do I need?

I only have the same illustrations in the AIM, and no access to my car so I am making the same guesses as you are Mike. That said, my guess would be that the squirter tube should be bent at less than the almost 90* that it appears to be. Perhaps someone else with an original 1970-72 can photograph their RH (passenger side) arm and squirter tube so we all can see.

My original '72 passenger side wiper tube is bent almost 90 degrees. Unfortunately my car is up on a lift right now or I would take a photo and post it. Maybe tomorrow on that.
