Interesting that hardly any of the Corvette ads say which engine the car has.

Reminds me of once at work this kid (probably in his mid-20s) brought in an old newspaper like that. Because I was an "old guy" I had to explain to him that R & H meant "radio & heater" and that once upon a time cars didn't automatically come with those and you had to pay extra for them. He didn't have the slightest idea what it meant.

Doing research on my '65 led me to Louisiana in 1992; it was delivered new to Early Chevrolet, in Ruston LA. I knew this from NATB records (accessed by a friend of a friend ), and later confirmed with NCRS document service. Talking with previous owners led me to Shreveport LA, and Winningham motors (just an abandoned building by '92 ). Did a newspaper (microfilm reader) check at the local library and came up with this ad. 99% sure this is my car, as others said there were only two yellow '65 BB convertibles in the area, and mine was the only one with a hardtop, white soft top, and no side exhaust. The other one was extensively drag-raced and after regional victories, ended up at the 1967 Indy Nationals. c

Thanks for the memories! I had not thought about this in 46 years--lying on the family room floor of my parents home, and reading the Corvettes For Sale ads in the Sunday edition of the San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner newspaper. It would be years later before I could finally afford a "Vette", and by then, they had morphed into the low performance C-3 touring cars... Gotta love it. Rob

                Kevin,
My Warbonnet yellow 1971 came from Matt Slap in Philadelphia. I'll put in a shameless plug as I,m
looking for any giveaway items from Matt Slap.
