I removed the doors with hinges attached to the doors. Replaced bushings. Now I cannot get them to slide back in. What is the trick?

Re: What is the trick to installing 67 doors with hinges attached?
The hinges need to be about half closed and the plate with the 2 vertical holes needs to be angled towards the outside or it will hit the post inside the jam.
Putting them in with the doors on is doing it the really.......really hard way.- Top

Re: What is the trick to installing 67 doors with hinges attached?
I've put many...many doors on, none with the hinges attached. If I were to get lucky enough to get the hinges back into the mounting holes chances would be very slim the doors will line up w/o issues. Like others have suggested the least frustrating way to mount the doors is install hinges first w/o the doors. Do yourself a favor here.- Top

Before you remove the door from the hinges drill a couple of pilot holes thru the hinge maybe 1/8" diameter. Use a nail or drill bit as your locating pin. When reassembling the door to the hinge use the pins to get your door close to its original position

Since the hinges are removed from the body, drilling holes for reinstalling is sort of a waste of time.
The hinges need to be removed from the doors, installed on the body and then everything has to be re-aligned.- Top
