Yea, I always pull and "freshen up" my engines in the first 600 miles too.

Maybe he thought that's how you change the brake in oil. LOL

It has a late 1969 wiper door actuator can (pie plate style)

Tires appear to be Super Belt belted tires not nylon cord. Seven treads not 9. Perhaps the "600 mile" tires were dry rotted and needed to be replaced.

probably when he changed everything else but the kitchen sink. But 600 Mi is 600 MI. If his grandpa told him this in a bar it has to be true.

I was told about this car last year. I called the owner and as soon as he said that the motor was out of the car, I lost interest right away. It may be a real 600 mile car but its irrelevant to me personally since it has been messed with. The phrase "no corvette virgins" comes to mind.

There are no Chassis photos so it is likely there are issues there. Undercoaing and/or damp storage can really destroy the collectability and condition of these low mileage cars. It may well be a real 600 mile car but likely can't achieve Bow tie status. The real value of this car has been significantly reduced.

600 miles so what, you buy the car and park it.
Doesn't sound like much fun to me, I thought these cars were made to drive and enjoy.....

Interesting that the 7 in the odometer is a lighter color than the others. Wouldn't they age and discolor similarly if they were all exposed to the same elements for 40 years?

6 rolled to 7 when he pushed it out of the garage? The trip is halfway rolling to 1.

it would be nice if someone would look at the car before making all these judgements i purchased the car from the orignial owners son and the reason i had to change everyting was because the car sat so long and yes the motor was out of the car pulled by the orignial owner and put in a chevelle for years thats why i had the motor freshened i have a signed affidavit from the owners son stating the story. the orignial owner died 7 years ago it is indeed the orignial motor and orignial paerwork and orignial paint interior and miles frank pelly member 12311 (330) 506 9389 or e mail fp3435@aol.com

Now this turned into a for sale ad. A no-no on the tech board. Suggest Mr. Pelly move it to the Classifieds forum.

The grill looks to be a replacement and not the 68 only and I don't see the muffler blackout. It sates the exhaust was replaced though. The wheel covers are PO 2's not PO 1's. Thanks Don
