2X4 Carb Studs and Wing Nuts

Are there differences between the 1956-1961 2X4 carb air cleaner studs and wing nuts? Steve

    Steve,

My '61 set doesn't have any and I made the ones for my '56 set so I can't say for sure. The only stud listed in the 1960 parts manual for a Corvette 4 bbl is listed for a single carb. They have a listing for a '57 passenger with 2x4 but they are nearly twice as long (over 7") as the Corvette one listed at 3 3/8".

For the studs call Paul Mazut as he makes them 413 243 3439. Wing nut are different, 56/57 have a flatter base and are larger in dia. Have done 9 58-60's and no one seems to have the same answer and same for 56/57's

Thanks guys. I have my original '57 studs and some repros and began wondering if they changed through the years for the dual WCFB's. Steve
