    1960 Disc brake conversion

I am interested in hearing from any one who has done a disc brake conversion on a C1. I have a 1960. Whose kit did you use? How do you like it? Problems? Advice?
    Thanks.

Never done this but, have heard that the wheels(rims) will not fit. If you want to run the original style hubcaps I am sure you need the nubs/bumps to hold on the cap. For what it is worth our 1960 stops fine with the original drums. Had to stop quickly a few times I noticed no problems.

        I used CC's kit on a '60 and a friend used one on a '58. No issues.

I've installed two of the Master Power Brake conversions on a 57 and a 59. BOTH were installed withoug adding a power booster.
Everything is there for the disc conversion. When installed, the front wheels are moved outboard about 1/2in per side, increasing front wheel base about 1in overall.
They also recommend, and I installed, their adjustable proportioning valve (although, I'm not totally satisfied it is needed). It splices in downstream from the brake block below the battery tray.
No problems, no issues, no customer complaints. Their kit with instructions is very straight forward. Sorry, I didn't have the forethought to take pictures during the installation of parts.

Personally, I'm VERY satisfied with my home made heavy duty finned drum brakes. They do just great.
