1967 Corvette Power Brake Check Valve

Can someone with a original 1967 power brake check valve post a picture or describe what a period correct valve looks like. The valve I have looks like a bulls eye (two rings) and has a small hole in the middle.

The manual makes no mention of color variations. But it is my experience the natural nylon coloration is just as prevalent if not more on the '67 booster. The clamp in the photo looks fabricated from a modern clamp as the center leg looks way too short.

Tim, I don't have a original but just bought one for a '65 restoration a buddy is performing. It's a reproduction. We were a little confused about the color of the body, but the face has that concentric circle feature and a crater in the middle.

Here's a pic of a couple of 64-67 PB valves. Sorry but I don't know what year they came from but these valves have different markings as you can see in the pic. I think the marks are mold cavity numbers for identification by the manufacturer during the molding process. The only thing is that these are original valves and not repos.

Interesting you show the natural nylon color I'm used to seeing. The two concentric circle style on right side in the first and second photo is a form I've also seen on original power brake boosters. But I can't say (no memory) what year they were on.

The center photo, one on the left is new to me with all the concentric rings.

The two are exactly the same. With the exception of the mold numbers on the side. Two rings inside with the hole in the middle. The camera's flash must have made it look like more rings. Noticed that but could not do anything about it.

Tim, I bought it from Zip products.....part# DB-386

But it was a bit confusing as their photo(below) shows a different shade of white on the body(more off-white than the actual part), and no view of the face with concentric circles.





If you look at their DB-600 Booster, it comes with the fitting, and yet another color, more yellowed.



I believe CSSB is the supplier for their boosters, and a different supplier for the individual check valves.

The check valve I have looks exactly like the valve in Joe Rays picture #1&2 on the rt. side. The color of the plastic looks about the same also, not white, kind of that aged semi clear plastic.

Is there a valve that's viewed as correct for a 67, could I have the correct valve?
