Do the vent ducts on the picture look like they are correct for a 1963-67 Corvette

Does this left hand side and right hand side AC under dash vents look like original ones for a C2 or are these ducts not original ones like i think and not original ones at all
Does the 7 blade fan look correct for a 1963-67 factory AC car?

The vent is certainly not correct.

Just what i thought because i think the ducts for a C2 are round/circular from the heater box to the ends

Roger: actually the vents are more of a "D" cross section shape most of their length. On the fan, that's not close either. Take a look at Long Island Corvette's #24-29B fan, which is the general look you want. Mike

I will not buy any of the parts above. Thanks Wayne and Mark

This is how the correct parts should look like

Claus, I know your car is a 64. Just an FYI.....

The duct work on a 63 is not black it has a dark green tint. The best color I could used to describe it is olive-drab. I have never seen 63 ducts for sale, they are ultra rare. Also, no 63 AC car came with a 7 blade fan.

Harry i thought the late 63 had a 7 blade fan. I think Nolan Adams Volume 2 says so but i will have to check

It does say that but best anyone can tell not one of the 278 (228 coupes, 50 convertibles) 63 A/C cars were delivered with one.

Harry have you seen the 7 blade fan that LIC sells? I am thinking of buying one for my car?

Have any here seen an evaporator lid with the tab/bracket(marked with a red arrow)that is on this evaporator lid on the outer AC box for a 1963-67 Corvette?
This is where the STV valve bracket sits
I wonder if this is either for a 1963 or 1967 only and if not it must be homemade

The bracket on the outer AC housing looks almost like a bracket for the expansion valve so this can not be original?

                        Claus,

The ducts in the first picture are an aftermarket company selling a hang on air setup. The second picture of the ducts are good reproductions of 63-67 AC ducts made from fiberglass.
The below pics are AC boxes from a 63 and then a 64-57 box.
Good luck finding the correct pieces needed for a 64 AC.

Re: Do the vent ducts on the picture look like they are correct for a 1963-67 Corvett

                          Thanks Joe
The price for the few outer AC evap, heather box i have seen for sale is pretty high
I suppose they can ask whatever they want for the outer assembly since if any needs it they have to buy original parts

I know how difficult it is to get hold of these parts(some owner before me had cut the outer evap, heather box in half)since i looked for the outer AC evap, heather box for many, many years before i was so lucky to find one for my car
The first picture is of my restored outer AC evap, heather box for a 1963-67

Looking at the picture to the right, is the evaporator lid for a 1963 only because of the location of the STV valve bracket location?

Can any here post a picture of how the 1963 STV valve is mounted on the evap lid/box?
