67' 427 front/rear stabilizer bar; color

I believe the front and rear stabilizer bar is suppose to be bare forged metal. I have stripped these bars completely clean but would like to know what others have done in terms of final appearance. clear coat or powder coat a grey color?? Taking numerous running gear parts to be powder coated semi gloss black this week and not sure how to address the stabilizer bars and caliper brackets.Dave

I finished mine in a cast gray color. I was afraid of rusting happening on the bare metal, like it was before I cleaned it up. The clear coat looked too shiny to me.
