396 Ignition Lead Wiring... What to do with the excess???

I am wrapping up getting my firewall ignition wiring tucked away and secured per the '65 AIM. I have installed an aftermarket ('Lectric Limited) TI wiring harness and have what I believe to be a lot of excess length lead wiring, primarily the white 12 gage negative wire. See the attached pictures. Can or should this wiring be taped back onto itself? If not is there a company that makes the wire lead connection? I could cut the wire to shorten it and install a new wire connector. Any suggestions???

    Thanks,

That's the resistor wire, and I'm unsure if the wire is specially manufactured with a specific resistance or if there's a resistive component soldered in series with it. I never had one apart. If the wire itself has a resistive value in ohms per foot, don't cut it.
