I plan to do a body lift on my 1969 convertible. The doors have been removed and replaced by 1 inch tubing between the top hinge and door latch attachment. In addition, I have placed 1 inch tubing between the two supports. I do not intend to remove the windshield. To remove the body, I will be using a lifting strap with four straps and clips. To lift the straps, I plan to use a Bobcat with a 'boom pole'. After researching the Forum, I can not find any information on where to locate each clip. I would like to attach the clips behind the front fender and in front of rear fender so that the clips do not contact the body panels. Any comments or recommendation would be appreciated. Steve

Steve, I believe that the bird cage under the rockers front and rear is only place you'll want to use.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 1969 Convertible Body Lift
But first make sure that the bird cage rocker channels are not rusted. If they are rusted, you can slide in a approx 1 1/2 inch angle iron between the frame and rocker channel to support the rusted channel. Bolt the angle iron at the rocker channel alignment holes for support.Steve L
