New exhaust and stock oil filter

Installed a new exhaust system from CC on Sunday. Easy install, perfect fit and already welded. My only concern with the finished product was how close the driver side exhaust comes to the oil filter housing. See attached picture. Measures about 1/2". I have a feeling if I would have left everything loose and moved it a bit that it could be further away. Now that it is installed and bolted up (including using a product called Muffler Cement at the joint) if I can move it now. I am not sure if it is anything I should be worried about. Looking for opinions.

    John:

I would worry about something else. You will be fine.

It looks like they have the bend for the filter in the wrong place. Compare your pipe to the pic that Alan posted. Alan's pipe bends right at the filter. Not further aft.

John, You maybe able to loosen the inboard nut on the flange and tighten the two outboard nuts to help pull it away slightly. I have a Corvette Central exhaust on my 63 and had to do a lot of tweaking to set properly. and have a friend that has a C.C. system on his 63, has a problem with the pipe on the starter side as being really close to starter.

            Ed,

I think I will give that a try. I have a feeling that if I would have paid more attention to that when I installed that it would have come out better.
