    54 high beam switch connection

My switch has a battery terminal but the schematic doesnt use the initial. It says U-L-C. Does the double green wire connect to the battery terminal? Thanks again as always!

Guy do you have a wiring diagram - I installed a NOS switch in 3803 - wires are tan, light blue and light green, tan is in the middle
      Try that.

Hi Chris, thanks for chiming in. I do have the schematic and it does show the tan wire at the middle terminal. The schematic shows three letters....U, L,and C. The switches dont have those letters, only the longest terminal has "Battery". My question is does the double green go to the Battery terminal or does it matter which side it goes to. I have an extra switch with the wires cut but still attached. It has lt. blue on Battery, double green in the middle and tan on the other which in NOT according to the plan. I dont know where to plug the double green, Battery post????????

Blue goes to the battery terminal. Green is high beam and tan is low beam. I've seen the green and tan installed two different ways. Although the wiring diagram shows tan in the middle I have a suspicion that it doesn't matter given the configuration of the switch. One position of the switch is low and the other high but it looks to me that it doesn't matter which. So I say go with tan in the middle and green outside and see what you get.

Thanks so much Troy, I really appreciate it. Ive been scratching my head on this one for a while. I had a 50/50 chance. That why I stay away from Vegas.

The way I see it it shouldn't matter with a two position switch. As long as you have power to the green wire your high beam indicator light should come on.

                Hey Guy,

For what its worth, here's a photo of my switch prior to dis-assembly last year. The photo rotated counter-clockwise while uploading so note that the right side of the photo is the bottom of the car.
