Sewn in tag on convertible soft top, '64

Does anyone have a photo of the tag that was sewn into the soft top, inside just below the far driver side bottom of the window? Thanks.

Do you mean the Outside??? Not aware of one inside, if you have any data on that one I'm interested also.

No, they didn't come wrapped in a plastic protector from St Louis.. We invented that with NCRS.

Not certain of the material they were made of originally. I have seen paper, water-resistant type paper, and cloth. Most didn't last more than a few months (weeks??)

Thanks, that makes sense, more a temporary dealer warning tag than anything perhaps.

Michael, They were on the outside and cloth I think. I bought a new top last year for my '64. I was able to order the top with or without the tag. I got one. Took it to a shop for some work. They washed the car and of course got the tag wet, even though I had a plastic baggie over it and taped to the rear window. Trying to protect it until judging. Sometimes you can't win. Doug

                  LArry,
I just got my new top back and the other dayon my 59 looks Great My wife, removed the Dealer warning tag, she said it looked "goofy"-- oh Me!! How can I stich another on??
What much a deduction is there with no tagon the top???

                  Thanks,
                  Hugh

Yes, originally cloth material kind of like sackcloth. Personally when I have judged EXT take one point for Originality and one point for Condition because it is not there.
