    Jim,

    There is a L-79 HT engine for sale in the driveline page 48 that's advertised to have the same 0450 stamp.

          I am curious how you get 145 HT engines from this data. Please explain.

            Hi Jim,
            It appears that you subtracted the vins 18930-18785=145. Within the 145 Corvettes you would also have to include all of the other engine configuration that were available in 1966. I dought if we will ever know how many of these were actually stamped with the F0450HT assembly code. It could be these were the only two and someone noticed the mistake and made a correction to the "HT" gang holder or they continued to stamp them until F0406HT before it was corrected. I believe the HT code is only used in Corvette codes and doesn't include any passenger cars.

              That's correct - 27% of '66 Corvette production was L-79's, which was 30 engines per day. The "HT" code was exclusive to the Corvette.
