Doing some research on a 1957 FI car. In reviewing the chart in the '56~57 TIMJG there is a gap where this car lands. Car is VIN 35xx and engine code "EL". On the chart for EL cars does not show VIN numbers between 3000 and 3700. The car has a model 4520 unit and s/n 1643. Is this the correct unit? Does this serial # fall into sequence that would be correct? Thanks, Dan

Re: 1957 FI serial # on unit (FI usage chart in TIM-JG)
Dan,
"EL" signifies a 283HP engine. Fourth line of the chart should read; "VIN 1950-3700 "EL" engines have 4360 units". Sixth line of the chart; "4520 units used on "EL" engines have serial numbers 2000 and above".

Re: 1957 FI serial # on unit (FI usage chart in TIM-JG)
Gary: So if I understand your message car VIN 35xx should have 4360 unit (not the 4520 that is installed). Is there any other corrections to the chart that I should know about? Thanks, Dan- Top
