Welcome to the club !!! The car looks like a great start ! I looks to have had some modifications that you may or may not want to put back to stock. Of course, it's your car. Your best bet is to continue to post pictures and ask questions as you go. I also have a 78 Silver Anniversary car. I am no expert on them, but will gladly give you any advise that I can, I'm sure many others here will be glad to help !!! Have fun and enjoy the car !!!

      Windy

Welcome! One thing to do is to get a copy of the Tech manual from the NCRS Store. It will be a very helpful book.

Welcome Windy. Go here: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the original dealer invoice for your 78. The invoice will list the options installed on your car, original colors, original dealer, and other information of interest.

Hey Windy...welcome to NCRS and as suggested, a first purchase should be the NCRS Tech Manual for your model year. I agree with Tom H that there have been modifications but its a very nice looking Corvette. If you had not indictated a 78 year, my guess would have been an 81-82 evidenced by the wheels, paint scheme and front and rear spoils.

Your trim tag date code indicates an October 3rd build date which would have been before the spoilers were available for purchase. Not sure what your plans are but enjoy the car, study it along side other 78s and down the road revisit your goals for the car. But for now...enjoy it and keep us posted on your progress as you learn and feel free to ask questions.

My 78 was an export to Germany but delivered in the states. The dealer invoice was not available for it but the original buyer did save the window sticker.
