Unstamped 548 Block
I have a 1957, 548 block that is not stamped. It is out of a 1957 Chevrolet station wagon that was a Coca Cola delivery vehicle. I have had the block for over 25 years. I am guessing this is a replacement block from GM since when I took it apart it had never been bored and the crankshaft had not been ground. Looking at pictures of the pad on engines of similiar vintage the marks look very similiar.
