California Legacy Plates Program

Those of us from California may find this interesting. A new "Legacy Plates" program, in which you can get a valid reproduction yellow (50's), black (60's) or blue (70's) license plate for your vintage car. They will only be doing it if they get preorders for 7,500 of at least one of the styles by Jan'15. I already have original (YOM) plates, but others might want to go this route. They say the regular YOM program remains unchanged.
