Last 3 digits of my '63's VIN is 424, and the job number in green crayola on the fuel tank bulkhead is 430.

Close or just a Coincidence?

I don't think there is any relationship between the numbers. My vin ends in 138 and the number on the fire wall is 174. The number was difficult to read and I had to confirm it by looking at the closest number on the C2registry and do the math. Once I did the math and looked at the number on the fire wall I was certain I had the correct number.

wish I could get the last 4 numbers of some early vins AWA the job #s,this would make it easy for me to figure what mine could be Thanks mine is a nov. car

Green was the color of choice for mine. I was very surprised the number showed up on the lower foot well after washing off the stripper with water.....
