How close is this Air Cleaner Decal to Original 67/327/300HP

Here's a picture of my tattered original decal from around 2000 when I first got into the restoration mode on my 67/327/300HP:

It wasn't long after that I put a replacement over it. The replacement after a few years began to coil up at the edges and always looked phony to me.

So I got another one about 2-3 years ago, I forget from whom (CC, Paragon or Zip) but never put it on.

So today I removed the tattered replacement to try to compare with the original. See the remnants of the original next to the newer replacement:

It still doesn't look right to me.

Is this the best I'm going to get, or are there any newer decal replacements out there that are closer to the originals?

Jerry. My guess is that the "Printed in the USA" is oversized from the original.

There is one very obvious difference, that I'm sure even YOU can see.

BTW: Is "coil up" some kind of Queens dialect?

The right ends of the "S" in horsepower and the "O" in turbo should line up. And the "E" in horsepower should be centered directly below the "-" in turbo - fire.

          Joe,

I think it is more Brooklynese, I lernd it from the Brooklyn Techies on the D train.
