I guess I like the old stuff more for what it looks like and what the memories were at the time....... Not so much a matter of what engine was in it unless your going to race it. After all L88 was not for the street. It was supposed to be a track only engine. My post was to only point out that race engine in the day are lesser performance than showroom cars of today. And how time has progressed. So don't get all up tight.

But the Ferrari and honda thing sounds a bit much!

I love the old stuff and really like the new cars too. I was not uptight at all and if I came across that way then I apologize. As for new vs. old, my nephew just completed a twin turbo build on a c6 that on its initial tuning put out 1600 rwhp on 23 psi. The motor is built to withstand 30 psi so it should be around 2000 hp when its dialed in. Time does march on. And now back to the original post.
