Re: 1972 Frame Sand Blast or Dipping
Michael - Please consider the chemical cleaning process at Metal Rehab Technologies in Ft. Worth, TX (not too far from where you are!). Their process is thorough, safe for the metal, and environmentally friendly. I've had 2 frames dipped at Metal Rehab....a '66 and most recently, my '54. They also offer to spray the frame (and other parts you take) inside and out with DP-90 epoxy primer. In addition to the frame itself, take your crossmembers, springs, control arms, wheels, and any other parts you can batch up.
Metal Rehab gave a tech session in Frisco at the Lone Star Regional. If you would like a copy of their presentation or further contact information, I'll send it and get you in touch with Stan and Mary Jane......www.metalrehabtech.com.
