Do you know what you can make a vacuum actuator filter out of? It's the foam filter which most originals have deteriorated. Not sure if I have named correctly. Thanks.

Bill, are you referring to the Windshield Wiper door solenoid attached to the back of the tachometer? (See attached)
If so, go down to your local hobby or crafts store and get some "open cell" foam. It's what was originally used.

It would be the headlight/wiper door actuator relay valve filter. Is that the same filter material?Bill Hyndman

Tip: when you cut the foam to size, cut it full enough so that the interference fit holds it in place or put a tiny drop of contact cement on it to hold it in place. It needs to be bigger than you might think, Don't ask me how I know.
