    tank sticker help

    Ok, I know its not a million dollar car. But. ...Im excited. We all know a lot of this hobby is mystery solving. And I need help.
    I found the remnants of my 75 roadster tank sticker.
    it is 3/4 there. I can make out 40% of it. Is there a resource available that can "fill in the blanks"? There are a lot of numbers that make no sense to me, but someone out there can. ..
    help!

    Do you have the Corvette Black Book or NCRS Guide to the car? If so, look at the RPO numbers on the left lines side of the TS in the "options" column, or the cryptic descriptions on the right lines of the TS. Post a picture of it too, so we can help. Here is the one from my '67 for reference.

      Ross

      Owners always get excited about discovering the DNA of the Corvette. As you discovered, the disappointment is that

      1. It is not all there;
      2. What do all those codes mean

      The buildsheet that Michael posted is the Corvette Order Copy and the format is portrait. In 1973, GMAD took over management of the St Louis factory and adopted the GMAD manifest and its layout is landscape style. Your 1975 is the GMAD manifest style buildsheet.

      So the data on your sheet includes the regular production options (RPOs), schedule data, job number and broadcast codes. Lots of data here and to answer your question, to my knowledge there is not a resource available where you can fill in the blanks. There are thousands of broadcast codes while RPOs were much more limited and therefore well defined in the type of documents Michael refers to.

      As suggested, scan what remains of your buildsheet and we can tell help interpret what you have. We can also tell you what 1/4 of the sheet and its codes you are missing. Scans work much better than either cell phone copies or photo copies and offers greater resolution to focus on the data.

      Here is a 1978 buildsheet from a Pace Car. Yours is similiar. VIN 2324_manifest.jpg

          Ok, found my tank sticker!
          This is all that is left. Pretty disappointed. I have studied it for hours and at least I can confirm most of the options. Dual horns, heavy duty battery, as well as C60 , and M40. Cant make out dealer or top color. Is there anything I may find that can be cross referenced?

            There may be another copy found under the dash on the driver side, possibly tucked up under the steering column. IF there is, it will be in much better shape than this one which is obviously pretty much illegible. It's condition is not surprising. These things were never meant to last anything like 40 years in a, basically, "outdoor" environment.

              The fourth photo shows your key codes at the top...looks like 9Y??. The top color is typically listed as a color code between the upper left where your key codes are printed and the RPO list. Look closely at the first row above RPOs.
