I am not sure if the problem is the trans., the clutch or throw-out bearing. It is a new clutch and throw-out bearing. I put 900 miles on it. Sometimes it squeals when the car is not moving. The clutch pedal is down to the floor (clutch disengaged). Sometimes I can feel it in the transmission when I shift gears. Sometimes it makes the squealing noise when I make a turn. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Re: 63 Corvette: Trans., clutch or throw-out bearing issue?
Raymond,
It's a very difficult thing to diagnose on the internet, was the squeal present before the clutch work. What did the clutch fork look like around where the throw out bearing attaches? What condition was the pilot bearing, this squeal is not a engine belt or the clutch inspection cover not installed correctly.- Top

Re: 63 Corvette: Trans., clutch or throw-out bearing issue?
Years ago I installed a new clutch and throw out bearing in a 58 Chevy and had squealing similar to what you describe. I couldn't believe that a brand new throw out bearing would be defective. I finally installed another throw out bearing, and the squeal went away.- Top
