I was asked by a friend to help him put his front suspension together. This was after he completely disassembled everything, I never got to see it before he took it apart. This is my first at a solid axle rebuild, I've done many mid-years. I have all the seals figured out except the front lower control arm pivot bolt. I would like to know what the sequence is to get the seals in place. It doesn't look like there is enough room for 2 seals. I'm using a corvette service guide for this year of car as reference. Some of the detailed pictures reference seals in the diagrams and others don't. Does the bolt go through the control arm then a seal followed by the steering knuckle support, followed by another seal before going out the other side of the control arm or does both seal go on one end of the bolt? I've tried to find a detailed picture in catalogs and manuals but just not what I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
