    GMAUTHORITY.COM: Z51 Constraints

    From GMAUTHORITY.COM , Is this accurate?--- :

Supplier constraints are causing a growing waiting list for the 2014 Corvette Stingray equipped with the track-ready Z51 package, which adds an electronic limited slip differential, slotted brake rotors, a dry-sump oil system, and more.
75% take rate of buyers ordering their 2014 Corvette Stingrays with Z51 package to continue as high as it is, and will eventually lower once the hardcore buyers get their fill.

        Re: GMAUTHORITY.COM: Z51 Constraints

'And now they are saying about a year. I asked a couple of dealers about the year statement. One said he would not even try ordering a Z51 and the other said he would order but did not hold much hope in getting a Z51 beyond those already ordered for 2014.

It always frustrates me when cars are introduced and the good stuff is on constraint. That happened to me when I ordered my '77 August 6, 1976 and also my '78 SA. I received word back that the sport mirrors and aluminum wheels were on constraint for '77 and the Good Year 255's for '78. Three RPO's in demand. I used to do marketing and production control and find it interesting that highly positioned pieces are not on the shelf. It is good the demand is high, though.
