In my paint codes for DuPont it looks like Roman Red for 62 is the same as Riverside Red for 63. They share the same code. Is there a difference? I am about to have a bottle of touch up made for my 62 and I don't want to break it out of storage to take it over to my FLAP store.

Re: Paint code for 62 Roman Red
Not sure of color codes but my red 62 was painted with lacquer back in the early 80s. I had the top and trunklid repainted with BC/CC by just matching up the color samples with the hole next to the sample that you lay on the paint. Ilooked at it inside and outside in the sunlight and matched perfectly. I would go by a reputable body shop for assistance.Attached Files- Top

Re: Paint code for 62 Roman Red
John,
The paint is the same but the change is the color of the primer.
I put Roman red on my car back then and was having a hard time choosing between 2 reds, 1 from a chevy and another from another GM car with a different name for the color.
Both had the same code. I asked the shop owner HOW? and he explained that the primer color will change the paint by a shade or 2.
