Re: Oil Change
I think some one is reproducing the correct oil filter for judging. As for oil I like Mobil 1 and that's what would use if it was mine. I would ask the owner what weight an brand that they had been using. I am not a big fan of switching oils if I can help it. I know it really does not mater it's just some thing I do.- Top

GM specified conventional 10W-30 motor oil for your application. However, I would use a 10W-30 synthetic or synthetic blend motor oil, especially one meeting GM's new Dexos standard.
The oil filter for your application is an AC-PF-970C.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Oil Change
You can find some great information on Marc Haibeck's site: www.zr1specialist.com. He has some specific recommendations on oil and filter for the ZR1. I hope you enjoy the car. I recently sold one and miss it.- Top

Re: Oil Change
No need to use designer motor oils, just use a good brand synthetic such as Mobil 1. Joe's suggestion is golden. But if you are determined to stay with dino oil, CJ4 spec oil is all you need. Shell Rotella, Delvac, Walmart, etc will all work for your car
The Amsoil, Brad Penn, Joe Gibbs oils are just marketing hype. They are just products that are packaged with their labels. There are a couple of refineries that I know of that sell more oil to aftermarket companies such as those than they sell under their label.Dick Whittington- Top
