Brass hex original Weatherhead a/c compressor cap 1966

go junkyarding. they are to be found on most all GM A/C equipped cars and trucks of the 60's.mike

Mike's suggestion is probably the best one. But another alternative is to check with LICS and Paragon. I know they have the brass caps, but not certain about the Weatherhead logo. Any judging point deduction will be (very) minimal.

A third alternative is to contact Jeff Ashen. He is occasionally on this Tech Board, and also sells on Ebay under the name "pacecarjeff". He specializes in old AC parts/equipment for our cars, and should have what you need.

Check some of the old parts houses and garages. Used to buy those in boxes of 100 for next to nothing.

Interesting Weatherhead stamping pattern; off a J_18_3 cast (back head) compressor, with label 6550133.

Interesting Weatherhead stamping pattern; off a J_18_3 cast (back head) compressor, with label 6550133.

Pretty much all of their fittings were stamped like that. Sometime ago I posted a photo of another fitting that was stamped multiple times.
