67 glove box contents- owners manual

Do the glove box contents for owners manual require the manual to be first or second edition on a 67? Or are either correct if early car? No mention in judging guide, just says owners manual, no specific edition listed. Got deducts at Texas regional for incorrect manual, even though mine was original, but second edition. What is correct here? Thanks, John

John, was there an explanation or comments in the glove box contents section of your scoring sheets?

Do not have sheets back yet, just was told I had to have the first edition manual for the contents to be correct. Understand my car should have the first edition version as it is an early car, but had been told one only had to have an owners manual, not exactly first or second edition. Just not sure there.

There is usually something that caused a new edition to be needed. The question becomes when was the second edition issued and why. For example, in early January 1972, there was a change in how the seat belt warning light works, and the second edition adds that. Judging guides for the years that I work with specify: "Correct edition of the owner's manual for build date." January may not be the magic date for all years. I believe I have seen some with other months stated in the front.

John, the First Edition owners manuals are expected to be seen in cars built up to April of 1967 and second editions in cars from April on. The manuals have "first edition or second edition" in them...I think printed on the second page of the manual. ARA.

New 1967 TIM&JG says: "1967 Owners Guide; First Edition to mid-April, Second Edition thereafter".
My 67 was built 15 March and has the First Edition Guide (& I know the Guide is original to the car). What is the build date of your car?

Late Sept, 1966, so does require the first edition manual. Just did not see that specific in the guide, just says owners manual, guess I should have assumed it had to be first edition rather than just an owners manual.
