72 wiper mechanism

What is the best way "hot wire" a wiper motor to test the wiper mechanism ? I just installed a new motor and it came with several warning sheets about "do not bench run/or test" but I wish to test it and the wiper assembly. The car is in a state of reassembly and the wiring harness is not yet installed so there is no wiring to the wiper motor.
