    t top repair

Under 3 of my 4 chrome pins that secure in slots of the center post the fiberglass is broken and raised. Is there a repair kit availalbe? What would be the best way to repair? Thanks, Ed

That's going to be difficult without infringing on the adjustability. You also don't want any significant build-up of material on this fracture. Try grinding a slight channel (Dremmel tool) in the fracture and mix up some epoxy resin and hardener. If you are good with the tool, you could widen the shallow channel enough to lay some short strands of fiberglass across the crack. Always being careful not to fuse the anchor plate or have any high points which will easily re-fracture the repair.

thanks for the suggestion. I was also thinking maybe I could riveted and glue a strap of sheet metal over but it would not look as good.

I think you'll be ok. When mounted, the plate grabs enough of the t-top to be secure. Watch for what was the cause of the initial damage. It looks like the top was lifted a bit much during removal. Once released from outer clamps, they need only be lifted slightly then pulled outward.
