    water leak

I am getting water on the inside of my lower door panel carpet an the carpet on the frame rails. I put new weather stripping on the doors. When ever I wash the car these two places get soaked. Could it be coming from other seals like the A pillar weatherstripping and running down into the carpet? I have not replaced any of the weather stripping. Any way it could be the door itself?

Lyndon, water leaks can be a PIA , my advice is sit in the car with a good flash light and have someone use a water hose around the door and look closely to see if you can see where its starting from. Keep the water in just the door area first, then if there is no leak head to the piller post area next with the water.

Will try that and see if I can find where it's coming in.

Remove the door panels and check for water coming through the vapor barriers .

yes if not sealed to the door and covering all holes they will leak . With the interior door trim off spray the door panel with water . At work we installed a shower head on a 8 foot water pipe on wheels that was our rain . GMs warranty said the car should not leak in rain conditions . Hard spray or car washes were not included .

Lyndon, I have VSH tape from GM showing how to address water leaks on C4s. Send me a PM. Maybe I can order a copy and send it to you.
