    1969 wiper park position

I cannot get the wipers to park low enough. The wiper door when closing hits one of the wipers. I have tried to adjust the wipers to go lower but it seems like there is not enough adjustment. Besides the adjustments where the drive motor is, is there any other place to make any adjustments. Thanks

Jerry, Leave the wipers in park position and Grasp one of the wiper arms and try to move up and down and look for movement in the linkage. There maybe some worn parts. Also check the arm that attaches to the motor if that nut backs out slightly it will result in play.

Hi Edward, I was able to adjust them so that they seem to be parking in the right place now. I did check for movement with the linkage in the park position and there doesn't seem to be any play so I think the parts are okay. Thanks for your feedback.

Jerry , if you have original wiper arms there is also a adjustment screw on the side of the sheet metal part of the arms . You can fine tune with them . There is quite a bit of adjustability in these screws.

Brad, thanks for the feedback. I guess the wiper arms are not original as I don't see any adjustment screw. I will see if I can purchase after market replicas if any exist.

Jerry, not sure about the adjustment screw on 69, I know the 63/67 had them.
