thinking about this seems real easy to do. but I want to make sure I do it correctly. using this old thread as a guideline https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...ight=tonawanda. I come to conclude that the exhaust manifolds, and water pump were on the engine before painting. so there for behind those items was just over-spray at best. if it makes any difference I am working on a L36 and M35 so I am to think that the distributor was installed before painting as well. so the distributor should have overs-pray as well.
was any of the power glide linkage installed?
how was the stamp pad masked off? also was the engine suffix label on the passenger valve cover put on after panting? I know the Tonawanda sticker was.
I am aware of the valve cover bolts of the spark plug wires not be painted but the spreaders were.
