1967 orginals seat covers
I have a split in the original seat cover on the bottom of drivers side. There are seams running side to side on the bottom panel and one has split. It does not show in a picture. It is about 3 inches long. You have to lift up one side or the other to see it. Has anyone had this happen before? They are only 46 years old. Anyone with an idea for repair. Business or suggestions? I dont want to have to replace perfectly good originals, even the carpet is original. Dale.

yes it happens. talk to a trim shop to see what they can do. may have to replace the 2 panels with like material. -

Dale, a friend of mine in Connecticut repaired his identical split. He told me about it, but it was years ago. I think he said he removed the cover and from the bottom side he glued/epoxied a piece of fabric while holding the split together using the repair piece of fabric to hold the split together. He said it worked like a charm and had not come apart after years of use. Maybe something to consider?
