Hi. I have two sets of keys with the automatic lock and unlock feature. The keys no longer lock or unlock automatically. Inserting the key in the lock works and interior power locks work. I thought it might be the remote battery but the remote will still pop the hatch. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks Eddie Robin

Re: Key remote 1995 coupe
My guess is the system may be turned off. Try opening the driver door and stand next to the car with the remote. Push the DOOR button on the remote for about 5 to 7 seconds and see if the locks cycle. If they do, you have turned the system back on. Keep in mind this is a PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) and you do not push the buttons to open the doors. The door button will only unlock the passenger door when the button is depressed, The driver door unlocks automatically. To change the setting to open both doors upon approach, put the key in the ignition, push and hold the DOOR button for 5 to 7 seconds and wait for the locks to cycle. Then you have changed the setting to automatically open both doors upon approach. When the system is working, the car will lock when you walk away and you will hear the horn "toot" to confirm locking. Sometimes it's a little confusing. If you need more help, call me in the office anytime on Monday. I will be glad to help you work through it. 800-688-2837Last edited by Tom H.; October 6, 2013, 02:27 PM.Tom Hendricks
