1967 rocker panel molding front mounting bracket

Can someone post or direct me to where I can see a picture of the front mounting bracket that rivets to the front of the inner fender that holds the molding in place at the front tip. Can't figure out where to rivet it and still bolt on the small splash shield.

    Charles,

I think the bracket in the attached photo is the one you're talking about. Yes? This is one I restored on my '66. This is one of just a couple of items on C2s that are attached via pop rivets.

That's it thanks. Is it painted black or the natural finish?

        Charles,

Based on my research I concluded it was natural, at least for '66. I did put satin clear on mine to keep it from rusting.

          Charles,

One other thing. I wound up not using the pop rivets that I purchased from Long Island Corvette for attaching those brackets. The portion of the LIC pop rivet that gets deformed is very clearly too long. I can't remember the length I finally used, but the correct length can be found, although you might have to buy a box of 50 or 100, since I doubt they are sold by the piece. I got 4 correct length pop rivets some years ago from a local fabricator.
