i,m trying to take apart the parking brake tower. My problem is I can not figure out how to take the front cable from the tower. Would someone advise how to.

Jerry Are you talking about the handle under the dash or the part under the car that splits to the rear wheels? Have you checked in the ST-12? It is usually pretty good at explaining how to take apart things. Terry

If your talking about the cable and its attachment to the end of the handle at the firewall, in my 1960 AIM it is detailed in Section 5 (brakes) Sheet 6.00. There is a clip that you have to remove that holds the cable end to the large nut on the end of the brake handle. Then with the cable disconnected at the rear, pull the handle up until you can pull the cable out of the end of the groove in the handle.
