Another 68 wiper override question

The wipers and door have always worked fine. I operate them now and again to keep it honest. Car running ,I turned the override knob and the dash override lite came on. Pulled down the door open stem nothing happened. Turned override knob back. Light stayed on. Door came up about a quarter of an inch. Wipers won't work,door won't open,light stays on when key is out. I looked back in old posts but never really saw a result. Could the override switch be gone? How can I bypass it to see if the wipers and door will work. Many thanks, Jeff

I also saw a discussion on the knob face. This Survivors knob face has the chrome insert in the middle. Doubt it has been changed but if the switch needs to be changed I will see if its a 1 or 2 prong. A2 prong would probably mean it was changed.

Any thoughts? I see that Keen parts have a 68 override switch identicle to an original. Would like an experts opinion before I spring for the $44. Price. Thanks, Jeff
