A friend has a 66 with power brakes and re-sleeved and rebuilt master cylinder and rebuilt booster. We could not get the brakes to bleed. We could not even get any fluid to come out of the fronts. We had the master cylinder in and out multiple times. Bench bled it several time with no success. What we finally did was disconnect the brake lines with the master cylinder on the car and bench bled it on the car, and then we were able to bleed all four corners. We had a nice firm pedal with the car off.
Yesterday my friend called and had put the wheels back on and was taking the car for a test drive. As soon as he starts the car, the pedal goes to the floor. If he shuts the car off, he has good firm pedal.
Anyone got any suggestions on what to try now?
Thanks,
Don
